I have worked in the accountancy and taxation profession for nearly 35 years, beginning my studies in October 1991. By 1996, I had qualified as an Accounting Technician and continued to gain experience working in local practice.

During this time, I observed that many small businesses were underserved, often facing high accountancy fees and limited support while larger clients received the majority of attention.

This inspired me to create a practice specifically focused on smaller businesses, offering professional services at fair and transparent prices.

To further my expertise, I completed a home study course with the ACCA and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in early 2015. Shortly afterwards, in 2016, I became a qualified member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) and established my practice, obtaining a Practising Certificate from the IFA.

One aspect that clients often highlight is that I am not a stereotypical accountant. I take a straightforward, down-to-earth approach and explain accountancy and taxation matters in clear, jargon-free language. This allows my clients to feel confident that their accounts and tax matters are fully compliant, up to date, and properly taken care of - without unnecessary complexity.
